“I am very pleased to be part of the Darnhill Festival, I got involved because I have a nine year old son who has took part in the festival over the past three years. I go into local schools and help with the workshops, making decorations and costumes for the festival parade. I love the look on people’s faces when they see the parade and the great comments we get.

It can be hard work on the run up to the festival, but it’s very worthwhile!”

Secretary: Kathleen Chorlton.

“I joined the Festival Association because I wanted to work in my community. The festivals are a way of brining people from all walks of life together.

My association with the festival has rewarded me with new friends and the pleasures of seeing people enjoying themselves.”

Member: Sheila Howard

“I enjoy being involved with the festival. It is a great pleasure to see the smiles on the children’s faces when everything comes together. I think we are a great community that works together.”
