Darnhill Festival Association are awarded charitable status!

The Darnhill Festival Association (DFA) have made the move from not-for-proft community and voluntary group to a registered charity!

Their charity number is 1138567

This is brilliant news in several ways - firstly, it celebrates the work that they have been doing over the past 7 years on the Darnhill Estate and Heywood area.

Secondly it opens up different funding streams to the Association which will hopefully mean that the Summer and Christmas festivals will go from strength to strength!

The Darnhill Festival Association would like to thank the Heywood Charities Fete for their grant of £100 towards the

Darnhill Christmas Festival 2010.

The DFA were also grateful to have a fundraising stall on the day of the Charities Fete - where they raised over £100!

Darnhill Festival Association awarded the Quality Standard for Funding!

The Community Foundation for Greater Manchester have decided to award the Darnhill Festival Association the Quality Standard for Funding. The award is valid for 2 years and follows the Association's successful management of the money awarded by the Grassroots Fund for the Darnhill Summer Festival 2009.

The Quality Standard for Funding award is presented to community and voluntary groups who have demonstrated that they are competent in managing a grant from the Community Foundation for Greater Manchester and have met the 8 assessment criteria designed to ensure that groups manage grants effectively, provide timely and high quality information and report on the difference the grant has made to the community.
