Barnardo's Art Attack Project

For 10 weeks in early 2017 Natalie Linney and Dani Lovett ran a series of visual arts workshops with the Barnardo's Art Attack group who meet at Spring Vale youth centre.

The group made lots of items to take away including books, lanterns, tote bags and t-shirts. They also used techniques including natural dyeing, screenprinting, embroidery and stencilling to produce a huge amount of material which Natalie and Dani, who were assisted by Freya Wysocki, made into a colourful banner. Natalie and Dani also photographed the young people in action poses and created collage shapes, so that the young people appear on the banner,  which has been displayed at a number of events.

For 2018 Professor Jigget will be working with the group to create action stories which will be filmed and available to view later in the year.
