2018 - Darnhill Festival

The Natural Festival

The theme for the 2018 festival was The Natural Festival and there was plenty of nature based activities, and amazing contraptions and carnival costumes.

We welcomed Plungeboom Theatre’s Vegetable Nannies and an allotment like no other! The Wonky Church Fete ran a vegetable tombola and fruit bingo to help you get your 5 a day. With a natural rickshaw on hand to transport people around the event.

Skylight Circus Arts brought their trapeze rig, and for those with a head for heights there was a mobile climbing wall. Other physical activities included inflatables and multi sport activity sessions on the kickpitch.

There were three arts marquees with 20 artists and a whole host of free creative activities with Darnhill TV in the Aspire marquee.  In the Art for Wellbeing marquee The Owl and Coconut did pebble painting – Kindness Rocks. In the Art and Craft marquee near the kickpitch Professor Jigget concoted strange natural potions. The community garden had a makeover thanks to Petrus project and City of Trees, and outside the garden NatureEd made clay pendants while Tally Linseed block printed flags and bunting.
