This course was open to young adults and aimed to encourage art making skills alongside facilitation skills. Participants had the opportunity to learn how to teach art making techniques and then plan and host an open day at the Art for Wellbeing Studio, Dandelion Create.

The group was offered a volunteer placement to support our Taster sessions.

The Young Facilitators course was an 8 week course covering creative facilitation of printmaking, collage, warm up activities and batik.  Alongside creative skills the group of young adults learned about group contracts and boundaries and how to create a safe and relaxed participatory environment.

We also discussed and modeled a non judgemental language when critiquing/discussing their own or others artwork. Through the relaxed sessions participants created a resource book with artwork samples, notes, instructions and reflections which they can use following the course.
