Rochdale Borough Culture Network Freelance Coordinator
The Rochdale Borough Culture Network is open to anyone who works in or has a passion for delivering culture across Rochdale Borough. Cartwheel Arts administer the network, and we are looking for a Coordinator who can help us grow and develop the offer to Rochdale’s cultural sector.
The role will include supporting Cartwheel’s Director & RBCN Chair Hebe Reilly with the general administration of the network; recruiting new Steering Group members; convening quarterly meetings for each of the Steering Group & Capacity Circles; coordinating 6 x bi-monthly informal artist socials and helping to promote the networks grants.
The ideal candidate will:

Have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Rochdale’s arts and cultural sector.

Have experience coordinating meetings and small-scale events.

Be highly organised.

Have excellent time-management.

Be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Be proficient with IT skills including email, Microsoft Word & Excel and Zoom

Demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in their work.
Please note, we are particularly interested in candidates who live or work in Rochdale, and those who are currently under-represented in the arts including, but not limited to: global majority practitioners, LGBTQI+ and disabled practitioners.
Details
This is a freelance, fixed term contract until 31st March 2025 (with the possibility of extending until 2026)
Individuals must be registered as self-employed and have a Unique Taxpayer Reference number.
Rate of Pay is £250 / day for a maximum of 25 days
Total contract value: £6,250
Hours of Work will be approx. 2 days / month – this will include some early-evening events.
Hybrid working arrangements offered but please note the post will include some in-person meetings / events at locations across Rochdale Borough.
