We are recruiting for a Finance Officer (15 hours / week)

At this exciting time for the organisation, a National Portfolio Organisation, and a member of the GMCA Culture Portfolio, we are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to manage our financial operations and administrative process. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, reconciling our book-keeping software (currently Quickbooks), and producing regular management accounts.
You will be responsible to and work closely with our Managing Director to ensure financial information is provided to our Board of Trustees, funders and other stakeholders; and act as Secretary to our Finance Task Group, convening and minuting meetings.
The right candidate will have experience in finance and accounting and a strong understanding of charity finance. The candidate will work closely with senior leadership and the Programme Coordinators to ensure budgets and financial reporting are up-to-date and comply with legal regulations.
The Finance Officer post is part time (15 hours per week) at a salary of £28,282 per annum (£9,554.70 pro rata). The post enjoys a 7.5% employer pension contribution, with a requirement of 0.5% contribution to be made by the post-holder, and 30 days holiday plus public holidays pro rata.
We currently offer hybrid working arrangements but would expect the post holder to work in person in Heywood on Wednesdays. Some evening working will be required to attend quarterly Board & Task Group meetings, and occasional weekend working to attend our annual AGM and other public events as required.
We are a small staff team, and all members play an active part in the life of the company. We share tasks and responsibilities in running the company, from housekeeping to strategic planning.
