Overspill: the heritage of Manchester’s slum clearances to Darnhill and Langley
We need a highly organised, energetic and talented person, passionate about the arts and heritage to deliver our exciting new project, Overspill.
The post is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund for 18 months.
The aim of Overspill is to uncover the stories of the people who were moved as part of the Manchester slum clearances out to the so-called ‘overspill’ estates, many of whom are now reaching their seventies and eighties. The project will uncover and collect these untold stories and also reinterpret them to engage new audiences by delivering an busy engagement programme of activities.
The Project Manager post is part time (0.4 = 15/37 hours per week) at a salary of £25,304 pro rata. The post enjoys a 7.5% employer pension contribution, with no obligation on the postholder to make contributions. From 6th April 2019 total pension contributions rise to 8%. 30 days holiday (plus public holidays) pro rata. One of the working days must be a Wednesday.
