Live Well Make Art

In May 2023, the University of Manchester & NHS GM commissioned a survey to understand the professional development, training, and support needs of Creative Health Practitioners across Greater Manchester (GM).

We are looking to connect with creative health practitioners to help us develop our 3 year vision for Live Well Make Art.

If your organisation supports or provides any activity in which people explore their creativity, culture and/or heritage to the benefit of their health and wellbeing we would be very grateful if you could complete this short survey.

We are currently surveying creative health practitioners regarding their professional development, training and support needs. 
This will be used to inform the delivery of the GM Creative Health Strategy, and will support the Organisations of Hope research projectwhich aims to identify how creative health can reduce health inequities.

Greater Manchester has committed to becoming a creative health city region. This means that GM will be the first city region in the world to realise the power of creativity, culture and heritage in addressing inequities and improving the health and wellbeing of its residents.

In 2017 Busha Productions were commissioned to make a well-being video in the Manchester, Stockport and Tameside area. This  video looks at Brinnington in Stockport.

'Well?' explores the connection between arts, health and wellbeing and how that impacts young people across Greater Manchester.

Thirty six people interested in a healthier Greater Manchester gathered to discuss how we could help address the area’s significant health inequalities and poorer levels of healthy life expectancy.
