Creativity, Culture, and a Shared Vision

Creativity and culture are central to what it means to be human. Our vision is of a world where everyone has the right to create, participate, and belong.

With everything happening in the world — both globally, nationally and locally — we can feel threatened, isolated and overwhelmed.

We want to check in and reassure you of our continued commitment to addressing discrimination and tackling racial, anti-trans, anti-asylum seeker and refugee and misogynistic ideologies, ableism and classism and other social inequalities head-on.

We stand with our partners at RBCN in expressing our solidarity with the transgender community across Rochdale and beyond.

We proudly celebrate Rochdale’s long-standing tradition as a welcoming and inclusive place. We stand with individuals and communities affected by forced migration — including refugees and asylum seekers — and their allies.

Our commitment to anti-discrimination is reflected in our work, policies, practices and procedures.

We are dedicated to creating safe and inclusive opportunities for practitioners, participants, individuals, and communities — and to listening and learning from their experiences.

If you have feedback or suggestions on how we can improve, you’re welcome to share them anonymously here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScZxxER_cFXBPnnQJ8K8v-ddk2vQtoHjANFm25SLqLmMx3jMA/viewform?usp=sf_link

We have Safe Space Plus — a confidential space where practitioners can connect directly with our Board of Trustees.   The sessions are normally online and we pay £55 to thank you for your valuable time.

Our next Safe Space Plus session is scheduled for late November or early December, and we will share the details soon.

These tools help us understand how we can better support our community.

We recognise that our approach to anti-discrimination must evolve in response to the changing needs of our communities. We encourage you to view this work as part of an ongoing journey and commitment to inclusion and equity.

We don’t have all the answers — but we share a deep commitment to creating a more positive, equitable, and inclusive world for all, through the transformative power of art.
