Live Well Make Art began in 2016 as a passionate, volunteer-led network of artists, health professionals, academics, and community activists who believed in the transformative power of creativity for health and wellbeing. What started as a grassroots movement—launching with the pioneering 100 Moments project—grew into a vibrant community driving change across Greater Manchester. Over the years, LWMA held events, commissioned impactful projects, and inspired collaboration between arts and health sectors. Supported by Arts Council England, GMCA, the NHS, Cartwheel Arts, and the University of Manchester, LWMA played a pivotal role in shaping the region's Creative Health Strategy.
As we evolve into a new chapter, we proudly acknowledge the spirit, dedication, and collective energy that laid the foundation for what’s to come.
