Rochdale Borough Culture Network – Small Grants Fund 25/26 Round 2

Priority: Creative Projects & Activity 

 

The Rochdale Borough Culture Network aims to support individual artists & arts organisations, as well as voluntary groups, faith and social enterprises that widen access to arts & culture in the borough. 

 

Artists and organisation can apply for a maximum of £800, which is aimed at: 

 

  • Rochdale-based artists / arts organisations to develop a creative project or activity

 

By ‘Creative Project or Activity’ we are referring to any sort of creative activity or output, including, but not limited to:

  • Theatre / Music / Dance Performances

  • Visual Arts Exhibitions / Workshops

  • Film / Digital Media 

  • Creative Writing / Spoken Word

  • Community or participatory workshops

  • Interdisciplinary arts 

  • Outdoor arts, festivals and events 

 

Criteria:

 

We will assess applications ability to deliver a creative project or activity through the following criteria:

  • The application demonstrates a strong connection to Rochdale borough.

  • The project or activity will engage audiences (live or digital) across the borough or beyond

  • The project or activity will widen access to creativity including traditionally under-served communities, including, but not exclusive to communities at risk of racial inequalities, disabled, LGBTQ+ and communities experiencing poverty 

  • The creative project or activity is feasible and realistic, including details of any partners, venues or collaborators 

  • The artist / organisation demonstrates existing skills and experience to deliver this project or activity. 

  • The relevant Safeguarding, Health & Safety and Insurance policies are in place, if required

  • The budget is realistic and manageable.

 

Please note, RBCN are committed to ensuring artists are paid fairly and adequately for their work.  We are open to applications that support artists to be artists, including paying an adequate fee, investing in development as well as materials. 

 

We are particularly interested in funding artists and organisations who have limited access to other funds

 

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 22nd October at 10m
